Put your ideas about the Bloominglabs Booth here!

  • Photo booth
    • Jay is willing to bring his photo booth (doesn't necessarily have to be in the Bloominglabs area)
  • Laser booth
    • Dan (a.k.a. LaserDan)
  • Vacuum forming machine
    • Need a volunteer for this - we'll pull one from the volunteer pool
    • Need to work with the Soapy Soap people to mold soap from the molds we make at Makevention
    • Need to have things to mold
    • Plastic sheets have arrived and are at Bloominglabs, 2x .020"x40"x72" white styrene sheets, 2x .030"40"x72" white styrene sheets
  • Sales/donation desk
    • Need a volunteer for this
  • DIY speakers desk
    • Need a volunteer for this
    • Rowan said that he can help out for a few hours here
    • The Library may want to do these at their booth
  • Twinkie launcher
    • Need a volunteer for this - we'll pull one from the volunteer pool
    • We now have two twinkie launchers!
    • Need to acquire twinkies
    • Need to test foot pump
  • Soldering irons
    • Adafruit kits?
  • Heath's booth
    • Bicycle - currently being built.
      • Really want it on the bike trail for people to ride.
      • I'd be glad to switch out with people throughout the day.
    • Rain barrels
      • If someone else wants to run the rain barrel booth that would be awesome-tastic.
      • Could have some barrels there that people could build them on site.
      • a sign up sheet for a Bloominglabs barrel class.
      • another sign up sheet for people to purchase rain barrels pre-made.
  • Nick's generator bike
  • Workshop signups
    • If anyone is interested in leading a workshop in the next few months it would be a great idea to have a signup sheet for the public in our booth. This could also be a trial to see what workshops the public would be interested in if you have been thinking of doing something for a while. It would be most useful to post specific dates, but just a signup sheet would be better than nothing.
    • Arduino workshop
    • Machining workshop: mill and lathe machine tools, a 4 week course (tentatively available to the public Jan 2014).
    • Using PGP encryption with email: a short history of encryption followed by use of PGP/GPG with email. This would also be an install session where attendees bring their laptops and we do an install, share keys, and send encrypted messages.
  • T-shirts - are printed and ink should be set now. dosman will distribute volunteer shirts
  • MAME cabinet
  • Smoke cannons
    • We'd need Jonathan's smoke bombs for this
      • Joe Stone has a smoke machine if that makes the Smoke Cannons more feasible
  • Circuit bending booth
  • Frankentstein stuffed animal booth
